Coromandel Peninsula Regional Information

Located just two hours from Auckland - the Coromandel is so close yet so far!

On the west coast of the Peninsula, the road hugs the coastline as you are served up stunning views across the Hauraki Gulf back to Auckland while being enveloped by giant Pohutakawa trees. The small, charming town of Coromandel leads you to believe that the 1960's are still alive and kicking.

The east coast of the Coromandel Peninsula offers the best beaches in the country; beautiful sandy secluded bays, long expanses of seemingly endless white beach and even one beach that serves up hot water from an underground thermal stream.
